Classic Bifold - Ortensia
Our classic bifold wallets add a modern look and rugged feel to a timeless design. 100% hand crafted from leather that only looks better as the years go by.
This wallet will hold 1-2 cards in each of the 3 card slots on the interior - meaning there is plenty of room for all 12 of your gift cards with .72 cents on them. There is also a hidden “stash” pocket on each side under the card slots, and of course the classic full width cash pocket.
Cut from high quality Ortensia “Pueblo” leather, produced by Badalassi Carlo, in Italy. Pueblo Leather is a full grain leather with a beautiful rustic look, but smooth to the touch and not too firm, giving the wallet a perfect balance between rugged and comfortable. As it ages, it develops a nice patina that gives your wallet characteristic that came from your experiences and the places you’ve been.
What holds it all together is a braided polyester thread, which has great UV resistance and exceptional strength that will keep everything together for a very long time. All of our leather goods are stitched with a technique called “saddle stitching” which is a process done by hand and makes for a much longer lasting bond than what you would get from a machine stitch. Each line of stitching is done with 2 needles and 1 piece of thread that is pulled through every hole. As both ends of the thread pass through each hole, it essentially creates a knot, locking it into position. This means even if a thread were to break, the stitch would not come undone.
